Crying baby, colic, KISS syndrome - really, a KISS?

Nutrition

The KISS syndrome stands for a craniocervical junction-induced symmetry disorder in children.

Screaming babies, seemingly clumsy kindergarten children, frustrated students with severe learning disabilities and concentration problems – when children are unwell, the whole family quickly suffers. Often, the complex symptoms are due to the diagnosis KISS, or Kopfgelenkinduzierte Symmetrie-Störung (craniocervical junction induced symmetry disorder).

Here, a timely examination of the spine and especially the function of the upper cervical spine can be the first step towards a decisive developmental boost.

The therapy concept presented here offers new approaches in KISS treatment. KIDD, or Kopfgelenkinduzierte Dyspraxia und Dysgnosie (head joint-induced dyspraxia and dysgnosia), refers to older (school-aged) children with manifest symptoms.

With correct diagnosis, surprisingly lasting improvements in motor and psychosocial development are repeatedly observed after just a few treatment sessions.

Introducing complementary foods – without feeding

Nutrition

Baby-led weaning simply means giving the baby free rein, quite literally, when introducing solid foods. This means moving away from purees and towards everything the child can independently put in their mouth and taste. The baby eats at the table from the very beginning and decides for themselves what, when, and how much they want to eat. Babies who are allowed to choose and eat independently (from a pre-defined selection) develop healthy eating habits and get to know all foods in their natural texture and taste. This supports their development, independence, and competence.

In this presentation, you will learn more about baby-led weaning, when the right time to start is, what your baby can and can't eat, what "puree-free" means, and what to do if your baby chokes or refuses to eat. These and other questions will be answered by lactation consultant Ms. Stabl in her presentation.

Babies are welcome to come along.

Diaper-free or communicating with your baby

Infants, babies and family

Diaper-free

Babies communicate their needs from birth. They signal to us when they are tired, hungry, need closeness, and need to go to the toilet. In this workshop, parents learn how to recognize their baby's signals from birth and throughout the first year, and how to mindfully help their baby eliminate outside of their diaper. Elimination communication (EC) reduces various problems such as constipation, diaper rash, and breastfeeding difficulties. You will receive all the necessary information, tips, and suggestions to implement EC. Without stress, diaper consumption can be reduced from around 5,000 to 0-400. This workshop is for anyone who wants to rediscover natural infant care, as practiced by approximately 75% of the world's population.
